The Hide Parka is built around concealment, protection and detail. Named after its exaggerated one-metre snorkel hood, the design allows the face to disappear almost completely when fully zipped and cinched.
Constructed from grey and beige wax-coated cotton, the jacket is designed to age with wear while offering natural weather resistance. Every structural detail has been considered for durability and function — from leather-reinforced drawstring eyelets to oversized utility pockets strengthened at the pressure points.
The entire garment is sewn in contrasting cerise pink thread using single-stitch double-felled seams at 34 stitches per inch, creating an exceptionally strong waterproof seam construction rarely seen in contemporary outerwear.
Finished with a heavy-duty two-way zip and an orange cotton drill lined hood, the Hide Parka balances technical construction with handmade character.
Each piece is designed, cut and handmade individually at 39 Tib Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester by Jamie Darby.
